What are your Perimenopause symptoms trying to tell you?
What if all the perimenopause symptoms that you’re experiencing is your body’s way of telling you that you need to change something? What if the headaches are telling you that you’re not listening to your heart; or the sleepless nights are telling you that you’ve stepped off your path; what if your anger is telling you that you’re not being respected in your relationships?
We focus a lot on physical symptoms in perimenopause, but there’s also a really big transition happening which is affecting your whole body and the way that you think. Your needs have changed. Your need for a community to help you raise your children, to get your promotion, to find your partner, are not as important any more. What’s important now is your ability to fully express yourself and to find your tribe (if you haven’t already). It is a time when you start to reflect on your relationships and seek mutual support and others who will celebrate you as you are.
I heard a quote recently that has struck a chord with me “it is a gamechanger when a women is willing to lose anyone but is no longer willing to lose herself”. I think this is a big part of the transition that happens at Perimenopause.
All this is to say you’re not going crazy! Perimenopause is a time of huge shifts physically and emotionally and through my own experience I am starting to see that we have to manage both for it to be a smooth transition.
With a combination of Counselling, Kinesiology and Spinal Flow I can support you to find your flow and ensure that you don’t lose yourself.
