What is an Holistic Therapist? I call myself an Holistic Therapist because I use both counselling and somatic techniques to address the whole person in a session. Why would you want to see an Holistic Therapist?  I support my clients to calm the chaos in their life and to manage their physical symptoms (eg headaches, insomnia, indecision, inter-relationship issues) using a unique combination of counselling , kinesiology and Spinal Flow Technique in a way that suits the individual. I work from the perspective that the body and mind are one and believe that your symptoms can be addressed from either perspective (or both) for a good result.

I work from the premise that your body knows what it needs to be healthy and that your body is essentially self healing.  My role is to bring attention to what your body is telling you and to allow the space to be still and connect in with your body and heart to allow the magic to happen.

Rather than focusing on finding a ‘cure’ for a symptom, we are working together to find a root cause of the imbalance. We will use many different balancing techniques to enable your body to release energy blocks/ stored emotions and tension and stimulate your body’s innate healing ability.

Our goal is always freedom…freedom to be exactly who you are and to create the life that you want for yourself in every way possible. 

FAQs

  • An initial session with me will go for 90 minutes so that we have time to get to know each other. After that we can decide whether it is best to book 90 minutes or 60 minutes going forward. Ideally we would meet at least every fortnight for the first few sessions and may even include some shorter somatic sessions if appropriate.

    As an Holistic Therapist I will always look at you as a whole person and therefore will gather up information on what is going on for you physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Our intention at each stage is to find freedom for you. Freedom in your body, mind and spirit. I work on the premise that bringing freedom of movement to your spine will bring freedom to your thinking and vice versa.

  • The most likely reasons my clients come to see me are:
    - Anxiety / Depression
    - Insomnia
    - Pain in the body
    - Chronic illness
    - Feeling stuck or lonely

  • I like to allow 90mins for a session. In this time we will be able to spend some time talking about what is happening for you, to investigate the contributing factors and then balance your body.
