How do you manage your feelings of stress?
Are you using control to manage your feelings of stress and anxiety? Control is often the reaction when everything inside feels hard and stressful. It feels like if you can make sure that no one can see your inner turmoil you will be safe. As long as no one can tell you are losing your mind it will be fine. But the problem is that for a human being, control is not the opposite of stress…it is the same thing. The opposite of stress is flow, not control. Control doesn’t actually make you feel better, it makes you feel more anxious and stressed.
When you are in a stressed and anxious state it is your body’s way of telling you that you feel unsafe, that you are holding fear. And here is the piece that feels so hard.. how do you let go of control and find your flow when you are literally clinging to your last nerve? In a nutshell, you will need to feel safe so that you can tone down your nervous system and then you can investigate to find out what it is that is creating the fear. As a kinesiologist and Spinal Flow Practitioner I can help you with that. We can work together to unravel what keeps you feeling anxious and stuck and help you to find your flow and get back on track.
